I started this site in 1997 as a way to communicate with family and friends - in the days before high-speed internet access in everyones homes. Now that digital cameras and video-conferencing is available to all, using a web site to stay in touch has become unnecessary.

Also, concerns for personal privacy have led me to believe that sharing too many details of ones life over the internet could be dangerous.

Thanks to all my loyal supporters over the years. I'll miss making up stories and writing silly commentary on your pictures.
